Police and Bawaslu Signs Cooperation Agreement in West Nusa Tenggara to Ensure Safe Election

inp.police.go.id - Mataram. Head of the West Nusa Tenggara Election Supervisory Body (Bawaslu) signs a Cooperation Agreement with West Nusa Tenggara Regional Police in overseeing the election in the province.

Chief of West Nusa Tenggara Regional Police, Inspector General Raden Umar Faroq and Head of West Nusa Tenggara Bawaslu, Itratif, attends the meeting to sign the agreement pact.

“We from West Nusa Tenggara Bawaslu are thankful to our police force who continue to give us their best service so that we can do our duties and responsibilities with peace,” commends Itratif.

Furthermore, he notes the excellent work of West Nusa Tenggara Regional Police in maintaining the peaceful and smooth election in the province. He hopes that these performances can be maintained throughout the election process.

“Particularly in anticipating the vulnerability of the election stages. During this election campaign, there are many potential threats that we have to anticipate, as does during the vote recapitulation,” adds Umar.

According to Umar, the Cooperation Agreement between his institution and West Nusa Tenggara Bawaslu covers the optimization of election supervising in the province.

“Our work at the field by the Intelligence Security Directorate and Ops Bureau are already doing great and with this cooperation we are sure that our coordination will be far better to guarantee a safe election,” notes Umar.

Umar highlights the importance of collaboration between the two institutions to improve the quality of election organizing that is transparent and accountable.

West Nusa Tenggara Regional Police is always ready to respond to any reports and ready to assist in security assistance in the province.
