Police and BP2MI Thwarted Illegal Imigrants From Going to Middle East

inp.polri.go.id -  The police managed to secured illegal worker syndicate and during this operation, the police also thwarted the sending of 160 illegal workers to the Middle East. In his statement to the media crew at the Metro Jaya Police Headquarters, the Metro Jaya Police Chief, Inspector General Mohammad Fadil Imran, along with the Head of the Indonesian Migrant Workers Protection Agency (BP2MI), Benny Rhamdani announced their success in rescuing 160 illegal Indonesian Migrant Workers Candidates to the Middle East on Tuesday (25/10/22). "In principle, we fully support the Indonesian Migrant Workers Protection Agency’s efforts in eradicating human traffickers or those who take advantage of migrant workers," said the Metro Jaya Police Chief quoted from Mediakulturindonesia. The agency and Metro Jaya police are committed to continue their cooperation in protecting Indonesian Migrant Workers. “We are ready to protect Indonesian migrant workers thoroughly. Because they are among the important figures for Indonesia," explained the two-star general. The case of 160 prospective illegal Indonesian migrant workers has been transferred to the Bekasi City Metro Police and is being handled by the investigators.
