A member of the Armed Criminal Group (KKB) identified with the initials "YL" was arrested in Kenyam, Nduga Regency, Papua Highlands, Police Superintendent Rio Alex Penelewan confirmed. The Chief of Nduga Sub-Regional Police stated that during the investigation, it was revealed that "YL" is working under Egianus Kogoya's command.

He said that "YL" was assigned the task of surveilling security forces' movements and providing intelligence to the KKB. The police also revealed that since 2018, "YL" had been frequently traveling to and from Kenyam.

He further elaborated that prior to the KKB's attack on the security forces, "YL" reported the presence of troops heading towards the airport. Upon receiving this information, KKB members swiftly initiated the shooting.

Fortunately, there were no casualties resulting from the shooting incident. The arrest of "YL" was carried out without any resistance," he concluded.
