The Anti-corruption Corps of Indonesian National Police (INP) revealed indications of similarities in the perpetrators of the installation of sea fences in Bekasi and Deli Serdang, North Sumatra. This is based on an investigation conducted on suspicion of corruption in the issuance of documents.
"It seems that Bekasi and Deli Serdang have the same legal subjects. The legal subjects are the potential perpetrators of the crime. Yes, we do seem to see the similarity," explained the Head of the Anti-corruption Corps, Inspector General Cahyono Wibowo on Wednesday (3/18/2025).
He explained that the alleged corruption in the issuance of sea fence documents that are being investigated are not only in the Bekasi and Deli Serdang, but also in PIK 2 Tangerang.
Currently, the witness examination process is still ongoing in order to collect evidence. For the Tangerang sea fence case itself, 43 witnesses have been examined.
"Yes. It will definitely continue. 34 people have been clarified. In our witness examinations, there are private parties, there are ATR BPN officials, there are also village heads, also people from the community group," he said.
