Inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. Sub-regional Metro Police Bekasi arrested two teenagers who were headed for a clash in Bekasi Regency. From their hands, police confiscated sharp weapons for evidence. “There are two teenagers arrested by the police as they headed for a clash,” said the Vice Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of Bekasi Sub-regional Metro Police, Police Assistant Superintendent Widodo on Saturday (2/24/2024). Widodo states that the teenagers were arrested when police were conducting a street criminal patrol where they found a group of teenagers preparing for a clash. “At that time, we were patrolling with Sector Police and Sub-regional Police units in North Cikarang where we saw teenagers preparing for a clash. We immediately came towards them and thwarted the clash,” Widodo said. Furthermore, Widodo said that those teenagers initially showed resistance and pointed their weapons at the police. However, police are still able to enforce the law and arrest them. Now they have been secured in Bekasi Sub-regional Metro Police HQ. “When we approached them, they did point their weapons at us, however we were able to act quickly and apprehend the two of them,” concluded Widodo.
