Metro Jaya Regional Police Professional and Security Division conduct an investigation into the alleged violation of the code of ethics committed by a member with the rank of Second Police Assistant Inspector named Nikson Pangaribuan, who beat his mother using a 3 kilogram gas cylinder to death.

Head of Metro Jaya Regional Police Professional and Security Division, Senior Superintendent Bambang Satriawan says that his party is investigating the case.

"The person concerned is being investigated for violations of the code of ethics," said Bambang Satriawa on Monday (12/2/2024).

However, Bambang did not detail further regarding the handling process in the case, and only said that his party is examining witnesses. Further data related to the alleged violation of the code of ethics will be submitted through the Head of Public Relations of the Metro Jaya Regional Police Senior Superintendent Ade Ary Syam Indradi.

As of now, Bogor Sub-regional Police is also conducting a thorough investigation on the case. Head of Bogor Sub-regional Police, Superintendent Rio Wahyu Anggoro says that the incident occurred in Cileungsi, Bogor, West Java.

Rio explained that his party will thoroughly investigate the case regarding the criminal act. Meanwhile, the handling of code of ethics is handled by Metro Jaya Regional Police, because the perpetrator is a member of one of the Sub-regional Police in the jurisdiction of Metro Jaya Regional Police.
