Inp.polri.go.id – Tanjungbalai. Police have uncovered homemade ecstasy pills in a rented house at Tanjungbalai. The order of the illicit drugs allegedly came from inside the prison. In that disclosure, six suspects were arrested. “It began with a report from BPOM that there was an incoming shipment of medicines without a distribution permit, sent via postal order via an e-commerce application," explained Tanjungbalai Police Chief, Police Grand Commissioner Adjutant, Ahmad Yusuf Afandi on Friday (10/6/2023). During that time, Police along with BPOM monitored and finally tailed the drug shipment, it was later found out that there was methamphetamines and other equipment. Police strongly suspects the place to be the ecstasy pills production house. Police then develop the case and finds that there are two orders from inside a prison. “The one who orders the drugs are coming from inside a prison by contacting the drug makers. They then shipped the drugs to their trusted individuals,” he adds. Moreover, police reports that the arrested suspects are MSP, G, and MRS as the one who produce and shipped the drugs. Then there is ASP who picks up the drugs, CG as the couriers and also the buyer, RIR as the one who hid the drugs, and two inmates who ordered the drugs with the initials of MIS and MFR. “We found 480 ecstasy pill and this is the evidence,” police chief concluded.
