inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Police implore the public not to be swayed by huge payments from selling their private data for bank accounts that will be used by online gambling operators.

This advice was conveyed by the Metro Jaya Regional Police Public Relations Chief Senior Superintendent Ade Ary Syam following West Jakarta Sub-regional Metro Police uncovered private data selling for online gambling bank accounts opening in Tambora. The case reveals that there are 449 bank accounts used for online gambling savings.

“We hope people would only open their bank accounts for themselves, not to be sold to others,” implored Ade Ary on Monday (7/29/2024).

According to him, the online gambling effort requires solid collaboration with the public. He also assures that the online gambling eradication effort will continue to be executed by the Metro Jaya Regional Police.

“Metro Jaya Regional Police continues to intensify our socialization, patrol and law enforcement. There are already hundreds of online gambling suspects that we have arrested,” concluded Ade Ary.
