Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) stressed the need to address the 130 internal issues highlighted by SETARA Institute to support Indonesia’s vision of becoming a developed nation by 2045.

“The hope is that by 2045, these problems reported by SETARA Institute will no longer exist,” said Senior Superintendent Benny Iskandar, the Policy and Legal Bureau Head of the INP Chief’s Principal Staff for General Planning and Budgeting (Kabag Jakum Biro Jakstra Stama Rena), on Wednesday (9/10/2024)

This position serves as a supervisory and advisory unit at the headquarters level of the INP and reports directly to the INP Chief.

He noted that SETARA’s research should serve as valuable input for the INP to improve and resolve these issues promptly. The INP will work with SETARA Institute to break down the identified issues and find appropriate solutions.

“The INP is an open organization and welcomes input from any party, especially from SETARA Institute, which represents the views of society and academics,” Chief Benny said, as quoted by antaranews.com.

“We hope to present our findings to President-elect Prabowo Subianto, providing a basis for Polri’s transformation policy,” said SETARA’s Executive Director, Ismail Hasani.

The research, conducted over three years, identified 130 issues. While some have been addressed, public concerns still remain, and the upcoming leadership change presents an opportunity for further reform.
