Pre-operation Training Ahead of G20 Summit

inp.polri.go.id -  The National Police Headquarters is ready to secure the G20 Summit Presidency in Bali which will be held on November 15-16, 2022. This preparation was by holding pre-operation exercises for Puri Agung 2022 from Thursday 3 November to Saturday 5 November 2022. The Deputy Chief of the National Police Commissioner General Gatot Eddy Pramono said the pre-operation aims to provide the personnel with technical skills according to their respective functions and fields. Especially, in identifying potential disturbances and what actions should be taken before, during, and after the G20 Summit Presidency. "The potential disturbances is assessed by the police, the Indonesian Army, National Intelligence Service, and other related institutions," said Gatot after giving his directions at the Cultural Building Center, Badung, Bali, Thursday, November 3, 2022. Gatot explained that the Puri Agung 2022 operation was a centralized operation involving several regional police, namely the Bali Police, the NTT Police, and the East Java Police. A total of approximately 9,300 personnel deployed in this operation. Last November, all personnel had arrived in Bali. To make this operation a success, the Indonesian National Police cooperates with the Indonesian Army, the Ministry of Institutions, the Regional Government, and the community, So that steps and efforts to anticipate all vulnerabilities can be carried out properly. Gatot said the Puri Agung pre-operation exercises was part of the security operation for the G20 Summit. Another security operation for G20 is the review of personnel and infrastructure preparation.
