Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo  led the 79th anniversary celebration of the Indonesian Military (TNI) at the National Monument (Monas), Central Jakarta, on Saturday (5/102024). 

The event began with a performance by the military academy’s drum band, followed by aerial displays featuring Cessna and Rajawali Laut planes. The ceremony included 22 TNI battalions and was led by Major General Djon Afriandi, the Commander of the Army’s Special Forces (Kopassus).

Accompanied by TNI Commander General Agus Subianto, President Jokowi inspected the troops using a Maung Pindad tactical vehicle. The main ceremony, themed "New Nusantara, Advanced Indonesia," featured honor salutes and a presentation of awards.

The event concluded with a military parade, demonstrations from TNI units, and musical performances by Ari Lasso, Dewa 19, and Slank. 

Also present were Vice President Ma’ruf Amin, Minister of Defense Prabowo Subianto, and other high-ranking officials and dignitaries.
