Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Coordinating Minister for Political and Security Affairs (Menko Polkam) Budi Gunawan said that his party has provided legal assistance to ministries, State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) and Regional-Owned Enterprises (BUMD) to avoid corrupt practices.

The assistance was provided so that each ministry, BUMD and BUMN can avoid financial management, internal policies that can trigger corrupt practices.

"Improvements in governance and good governance continue to be carried out so that they do not become loopholes for repeated acts of corruption," said Budi Gunawan on Thursday (1/30/2025).

He explained that the assistance was provided by the Coordination Desk for Corruption Prevention and Governance Improvement formed by the Coordinating Minister for Political and Security Affairs.

Since the desk was formed, there have been 2,164 legal assistances that have been carried out to various ministries, State-owned Enterprises (BUMN) and Regional-owned Enterprises (BUMD).

The 2,164 included 91 legal opinions given to BUMN and BUMD to ensure that every policy and business decision is in line with the law.

"In addition, there are 37 mediation activities carried out to resolve legal issues outside the courts, in order to avoid potential abuse of power and accelerate dispute resolution," explained Budi.

This effort, said the Coordinating Minister Budi Gunawan, is in line with President Prabowo Subianto's order that the eradication of corruption not only focus on revealing cases but also on prevention efforts.

With this effort, the Coordinating Minister for Political and Security Affairs hopes that corrupt practices in all ministries and institutions can be avoided early on.
