To manage the traffic, the Bogor Police Traffic Unit has implemented traffic controls including odd-even systems and one-way traffic starting from Friday. Approximately 300 police officers have been deployed to assist travelers and ease congestion.
“We urge travelers needing help to contact our officers stationed along the route,” Chief Rio said, as quoted by antaranews.com..
The traffic has decreased from 150,000 to around 80,000 vehicles as of Monday. A one-way system from Puncak to Jakarta was in effect, with the route from Jakarta to Puncak temporarily closed and redirected to smaller roads.
