inp.polri.go.id - Malang. Vice Minister of Home Affairs Bima Arya Sugiarto asked regional heads to make the Red and White Village Cooperative program a success so that the target of forming 80,000 Red and White Village Cooperatives can be realized by July 12, 2025.

"Regional heads together with the cooperative office, sub-district heads, and village heads must be proactive in ensuring that these cooperatives to be developed evenly," said Bima after attending a village meeting to form the Red and White Village Cooperative, in Radugading Village, East Java, on Wednesday (4/30/2025).

Collaboration between regional and village government officials is part of an effort to accelerate the formation of the Red and White Village Cooperative.

Bima said the steps taken were to eliminate one by one the problems of forming cooperatives in each region.

"What are the usual challenges in managing cooperatives? Many, such as lack of interest, but now everything has been encouraged, starting from the President, with the coordinator from the Coordinating Minister for Food Zulkifli Hasan," he said.

Regarding capital, Bima stated that the government, through the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Cooperatives, and other ministries are currently arranging the mechanism.

"So God willing, there will be some from banking," he said.

Therefore, Bima said that the involvement of regional heads is needed to support the success of the program.

Meanwhile, Malang Regent Sanusi said that of the total 390 Red and White Village Cooperatives targeted to be formed in the local area, 310 units have now been realized.

"There are already 310 cooperatives now, so there are 80 units short," said Sanusi.

His party ensures that it continues to accelerate so that all Red and White Village Cooperatives can be formed before May 2025.
