inp.polri.go.id - The Riau Regional Police, together with the ranks of resort polices distributed 5,000 social assistance packages (bansos) to communities affected by the fuel price adjustment, Wednesday (07/09/22). One of the social assistance distribution points is at the Bandar Raya Payung Sekaki Terminal (BRPS) or the AKAP Terminal on Tuanku Tambusai Ujung Street. Head of Public Relations of the Riau Police, Commissioner Sunarto said that the distribution of the social assistance package was initiated by the Riau Police Chief, Inspector General Mohammad Iqbal. "The Riau Regional Police are providing aids to the community by giving food supplies. This afternoon all police ranks of Riau, not only the members of Riau Regional Police, but also by the ranks of the Resort Police carried out this distribution," explained Commissioner Sunarto, accompanied by AKBP Budi Setyono. He continued, that for the Pekanbaru BRPS Terminal point, they were sending around 500 food supplies. "In total there are 5,000 packages that will be distributed today to the people of Riau," explained the Riau Regional Police Intermediary Officer. Police Commissioner Sunarto explained that this distribution is part of the services of Riau Police to the community, especially those affected by the fuel price adjustment. "This is also our support to the government policies in fuel price adjustments. It is hoped that this provisions can help ease the burden of our society," said the Akabri graduate in 1992. The food packages includes 10 kg of rice, sugar, cooking oil, tea, and instant noodles.
