inp.polri.go.id - The ranks of the Cianjur Police of the West Java Regional Police, together with Community and Youth Organizations (OKP) and Students, distributed daily supplies to communities affected by the increase in fuel prices, on Wednesday (07/09/2022). Head of Public Relations of the West Java Police, Commissioner Ibrahim Tompo, said that the provision of social assistance was part of the Police's concern to people in need. "Hopefully this provisions can ease the low-income people who are affected by the increase in fuel prices," said the Head of Public Relations of the West Java Police. The Head of Cianjur Police AKBP Doni Hermawan, said that this basic food assistance was handed over to angkot drivers, motorcycle taxi drivers, online motorcycle taxi drivers, parking attendants, pedicab drivers, and scavengers. "We, together with the students, carry out the social service activities to the community, particularly those affected by the increase in fuel prices. We also do this activity to show our concern for people in need before the government will also provided their social assistance to the community," explained West Java Police Chief Cianjur Police. With the increase in fuel prices, the Head of the Cianjur Police hopes that the public will remain calm and not panic. According to him, there will be subsidies that are more targeted to the community later.
