Surakarta Police to Secure PSS-Persita Match at Manahan Stadium

Surakarta City Sub-regional Police, in collaboration with the Indonesian Military, Public Order Agency, local Transportation Department, and the event organizers, have been prepared to secure the Indonesian Liga 1 football match between PSS Sleman and Persita Tangerang at Manahan Stadium Solo, Central Java, on Tuesday at 3 pm.
"We will deploy 500 personnel from the joint team to secure the Liga 1 football match," said Surakarta Police Chief Senior Superintendent Iwan Saktiadi on Monday (26/2/2024).
As the host, PSS Sleman is expected to bring around 5,000 to 7,000 supporters to Manahan Stadium Solo. There is no information yet regarding the supporters of Persita, antaranews.com reported.
Chief Iwan has instructed the supporter coordinators to adhere to the regulations, and the police will ensure the smooth conduct of the match.
The security personnel will conduct thorough checks on supporters at the stadium entrance to control prohibited items. The prohibited items include firearms, sharp objects, lighters, manual cigarettes or lighters, flares, and other prohibited items into the stadium.
"Bottled and colored drinks are clearly prohibited from entering the stadium. Spectators are not allowed to consume alcohol, as specified in the stadium regulations. There will be inspections by officers at the stadium entrance. We hope the spectators will cooperate," Chief Iwan said
