Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta.  According to a recent survey, an overwhelming 85.7% of respondents expressed satisfaction with the Indonesian National Police (INP) for their efforts in ensuring the security of the 2024 elections. Edi Hasibuan, the  Director of Lemkapi and a lecturer at Bhayangkara University Jakarta, emphasized the public's positive perception of INP's efforts and effective collaboration with the Indonesian Military in maintaining security throughout the electoral process. The survey, conducted from 9 to 22 March 2024, involved 1,200 respondents aged 17 and above or married Indonesian citizens. Key findings not only highlighted satisfaction with INP's performance but also shed light on factors contributing to public contentment. One significant factor was the visible coordination between INP Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo and Military Commander General Agus Subiyanto. Their synchronized efforts during the campaign period and the execution of the 2024 elections have garnered positive feedback from the public. Furthermore, INP's accessibility through initiatives like 'Jumat Curhat' and 'Minggu Kasih" has facilitated open communication channels, enabling citizens to address concerns directly with law enforcement. The survey noted INP's active stance in combating misinformation, particularly concerning hoax news circulated on social media platforms before and after the elections. This response has bolstered overall public satisfaction with INP's security services, according to the survey. However, approximately 11.2% of respondents expressed dissatisfaction with INP's security efforts.
