Inspector General Agung Setya Imam Effendi states that his party have established “pojok pemilu” in several locations. These posts aim to be the safe space for people discussing about elections. “We also have pojok pemilu in cafes around Medan where it would be the place for us to sit down together and discuss the matter casually,” says the police chief. Agung continues regarding the investors who cancels their investment in North Sumatra due to unrest in the province, he ensures that those were just rumors as things are generally under controls.
