The Yogyakarta Regional Police Chief, Inspector General Suwondo Nainggolan ensures that his party is ready to secure all 2024 General Election steps, including mass campaign which begins on January 21st to February 10th, 2024. “The point is, we are determined that all election process will be secure,” said the police chief on Wednesday (1/17/2024). Suwondo explains that the detail and technical security will be coordinated with ranks from Yogyakarta Regional Police Ops Chief. In addition, he ensures that all election activities will be escorted and monitored by the police force. “Indeed, we will map the zone and routes used for the campaign. Moreover, the we will also escort the huge campaign entourage from the front, sides, and rear,” Suwondo said. Other than security protection, the police chief reveals that his party will also conduct several preventive measures to anticipate public commotion in Yogyakarta.
