inp.polri.go.id –  The Indonesian government is coordinating with the family of Novita Kurnia Putri from Semarang, who died in Houston, Texas, United States (US). Coordination with the family is carried out to immediately return the body to Indonesia. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs ensures that the Indonesian Consulate General in Houston has coordinated with the family, and it is also coordinating with the local police authorities. "The family has contacted the Indonesian Consulate General in Houston regarding the hope of repatriating the body, and has discussed with local authorities regarding the death information and others," said Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesman Teuku Faizasyah, Monday (10/10/22). Regarding the case of Novita’s death, the family would entrust the completion of the case to the local police. It is known that Novita was the victim of a gunshot wound by two teenagers, on Tuesday (4/10/22) local time. Now, the two teenagers were taken into custody.
