inp.polri.go.id - Medan. The preparation for Mixed Martial Arts competition in National Sport Week (PON) XXI of Aceh-North Sumatra is nearing its completion. The competition that will officially begin on September 10th, 2024 in the MMA venue, Soewondo Airfield (Lanud), Jalan Adi Sucipto, Medan, is certain to run without any problems.

This was conveyed by the Head of Sub-Section of Immovable Goods (BTB), Gatih Suranto in his official statement on Thursday (9/5/2024).

Gatih stressed that various preparations are being carried out optimally. One of the important steps taken is to submit a request for additional electrical power to PLN and the installation of a separate substation.

The committee also paid attention to other technical details for the comfort of participants and spectators. Clean water facilities in the toilets have been ensured to be available throughout the event, so that participants and visitors do not need to worry about basic needs while at the venue.

To improve the comfort of visitors waiting outside the arena, the committee is preparing tents and shelters in the queue area and other places. With these facilities, it is hoped that the audience will not feel disturbed even though they have to wait before entering the match venue.

Not only that, for the sake of maximum viewing experience, the organizers also provide a large videotron and high-quality sound system. The addition of air conditioning (AC) is also one of the focuses of preparation to ensure the comfort of the audience in the arena. Gatih Suranto hopes that with this thorough preparation, the MMA match can run smoothly and provide a positive impression for the audience and participants.

This is the first time MMA has been contested in the history of PON, an event that is believed to further popularize the martial art among the Indonesian people. With all the preparations and attention to detail, it is hoped that MMA will become one of the most interesting sports at PON XXI Aceh-North Sumatra 2024.
