inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Thousands of police personnel have been stationed to secure the election candidate registration in the Jakarta General Election Commission (KPU).

“We have deployed 1,045 regional police personnel, 146 sub-regional police personnel, and 100 assigned personnel for the security,” says the Head of Metro Jaya Regional Police Public Relations Division, Senior Superintendent Ade Ary Syam Indradi on Wednesday (8/28/2024).

Ae adds that the thousands personnel are part of the 2024 Mantap Praja Jaya Operation. He assures that the security operation will prioritize a preemptive approach.

“We are conducting security operations with integrity and prioritize preemptive, preventive, and law enforcement approaches,” explains Ade.

He adds that his unit has also prepared traffic engineering around the location and will only be implemented when the situation demands it.
