“There are a total of 1,477 personnel deployed,” said the Central Jakarta Sub-regional Metro Police Chief, Senior Superintendent Susatyo Purnomo Condro when confirmed on Wednesday (7/17/2024).

He explains that in order to avoid traffic congestion during the rally, his party has prepared traffic engineering for anticipation.

“Yes, we may have to implement it at several locations,” said the police chief.

To the laborers who joined the protest, he urges them to still continue following the order and law in public as was regulated by the law. This is important so that they would not disturb others.

On the other hand, he instructs his personnel to approach this duty with care and prioritize the humanist approach. He also ordered the unit not to carry any live ammunition in securing the protest.
