inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Ministry of Transportation responded to the issue of an increase in the price of commuter line electric rail train (KRL) tickets.

The Director General of Trains, Mohamad Risal Wasal states that as of now there are now discussions yet about the increase in the price of KRL tickets. The decision of the new KRL ticket price is in the hands of the new government.

“As of now there is no decision yet on the matter, We will wait for the new government to take on this matter. It’s not cool if we keep guessing wildly,” says Risal on Thursday (9/12/2024).

Not only about KRL tickets price, the policy of the tickets to be adjusted according to the Population Identification Number (NIK) will also be determined by the new government.

Previously, Transportation Minister Budi Karya Sumadi says NIK-based subsidy provision for Jabodetabek commuter line KRL tickets in 2025 is still a discourse.
