Inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. The Transportation Ministry records there are more than 1.2 million using public transportation on the H+4 of 2024 Eid Al-Fitr. This number shows an increase of 31.74% from the 2023 Eid Al-Fitr.

“We report there are 1,283,557 people using the public transportation on the D+4 Eid Al-Fitr. The data was reported from Integrated Eid Transportation Post,” said the spokesperson of the Transportation Ministry, Adita Irawati on Wednesday (4/17/2024).

From the total number of the data, most of them are dominated by ferry passengers with a total of 350,667 people. This number is 37.51% higher than the last year which only reached 255,007 people.

For air transportation, the ministry records there are 309,473 passengers for this year’s Eid homecoming flow, 25.97% higher than the last year.

“Lastly, we report there are 222,124 passengers using the train service. This number is 32.26% higher than last year which only reached 167.939 people,” said Adita.

As of now, the ministry is still monitoring people and vehicles movement through Integrated Transportation post. The post monitors 111 terminals, 16 ferry ports, 51 airports, 110 ports, 173 train stations, and 42 toll gates.
