Turangga Mantap Brata Operation (OMB) Public Relation Task Force continues their cyber patrol as part of preventive efforts against all cyber criminals that could halt the 2024 General Election process. The East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) Regional Police Public Relations Division, Police Senior Superintendent Ariasandy, who also acts the OMB PR Task Force Chief, says that the measure was executed by the PR personnel to monitor the situation in social and mainstream media during the election period. “The cyber patrol aims to detect and prevent hoax, hate speech, and propagandas, that would divide our people, from spreading,” said Ariasandy on Friday (1/25/2024). Additionally, he also emphasized that the Indonesian National Police will remain stern in action against all criminals, including those who threats the success of 2024 General Election. Furthermore, the data and information gathered from the cyber patrol will be used for further studies and evaluation as the cyber patrol aims to ensure the election would go safely and peacefully. In his conclusion, Ariasandy urge the netizens to proactively maintain order in social media, and to make the digital space a place to better themselves. (ad/pt/pr/nm)
