Investigators from the Anti-corruption Corps of the Indonesian National Police (INP) have named two suspects in a case of extortion of special allocation funds (DAK) for activities at a vocational high school (SMK) in North Sumatra. The case occurred from May to November 2024.
"We have named two suspects, namely Ramli and Bayu," said Head of the Anti-corruption Corps, Inspector General Cahyono Wibowo on Wednesday (3/19/2025).
According to Cahyono, when extorting the school, Ramli's status was as the acting Head of the Corruption Criminal Investigation Sub-Directorate of the North Sumatra Regional Police with the rank of Police Assistant Superintendent. Meanwhile, Bayu was an assistant investigator with the rank of Brigadier.
Currently, both have been given an ethical sanction of dishonorable discharge (PTDH). Then, both of them were also detained at the Bareskrim Polri Detention Center.
"The total extortion is IDR4.7 billion. Yes, some of the results of the examination were on the schools. A total of 12 schools," said Cahyono
