inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Police say there will be consequences for traffic violators recorded by the Electronic Traffic Law Enforcement (ETLE) if failed to follow up on the ticketing notification from the police.

Stated by the Head of Metro Jaya Regional Police Public Relations Division, Senior Superintendent Ade Ary Syam, the vehicle registration will be banned by the police if not following up the ticketing notification from the police.

Ade explains that after the traffic users were caught violating the law by ETLE, then the system will begin the identification process of the violators. 

“Violators then will receive confirmation letters from the police after mobile or static ETLE cameras caught them violating the law,” Ade explains further.

Then, within two weeks after the confirmation letter was sent, violators have to follow up the process before their vehicle registration is banned.

"If the vehicle owner does not follow up the ticketing process during the time given, then on the 15th day their vehicle registration will be banned," concludes Ade
