Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Twenty officers of the Indonesian National Police (INP) studying at the Police Science Institute (STIK) Class 81 have been selected to participate in the Zemi Program, an educational initiative in cooperation with JICA and the Japanese Police. Speaking in Jakarta on Tuesday (16/1/2024), Brigadier General Nurul Azizah, the Director of the STIK, said the Zemi programme offered participants the opportunity to delve deeper into specific topics related to community policing, similar to the Japanese approach. "Zemi classes can help students develop a deeper understanding of their field of study and provide a more interactive and collaborative learning experience," she said. Instructors from the Japanese police, the INP and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs are involved in the Zemi Program, antaranews.com reported. General Nurul, who participated in a similar program in 2008, emphasized that this initiative provide a more interactive and collaborative learning experience. The Zemi Class Program  has been organized for 32 years. Participants in the Zemi Class Program were selected through a selection process involving questionnaires and interviews, with criteria set by JICA. (mg/inp/pr/nm)
