The Minister of Agriculture Andi Amran Sulaiman, explained that the reports were received from complaint numbers distributed through the media. After the reports were received, the Ministry of Agriculture immediately checked and took action against the companies involved.

In his statement, he said that reports related to fake fertilizers began to be received 1-2 months ago. After that, the Ministry of Agriculture formed a special team to check fertilizer samples in the laboratory.

The examinations were carried out at the IPB and BSIP laboratories to ensure the truth of the reports. As a result, four companies were proven to be distributing fake fertilizers and 23 companies were selling substandard fertilizers.

He revealed that the four companies that were proven guilty were immediately reported to law enforcement. Meanwhile, 23 other companies will be further processed by the Inspectorate General of the Ministry of Agriculture.

The Minister of Agriculture emphasized that blacklisted companies will continue to be monitored so that they do not repeat violations. If an attempt is found to establish a new company with the same owner, the company will immediately be blacklisted.
