Lebak Sub-regional police optimized Pekat II Maung Operation ahead Christmas and 2024 New Year Eve holiday to ensure public safety, security, and order. “We obviously would act against the criminals, especially drug dealers, to be firmly enforced by law,” says Lebak Sub-regional Police Chief, Police Superintendent Suyono on Wednesday (12/6/2023). The 2023 Pekat II Maung Operation has been conducted since December 1st and will be done until December 10th, by focusing on enforcing the law against alcohol smuggling. Other law enforcement focused by the police is the prevention on drug flow as police recently apprehended RR (23) who smuggled illegal drugs of 219 pills of tramadol and 710 pills of hexamer. On the other hand, police have also secured hundreds of various alcohol brands from illegal liquor store, and raided several hotels and motels to prevent prostitution. “Every night we operate the 2023 pekat II Maung in effort to provide safety, security, and order ahead Christmas and New Year Eve holiday,” conclude the police chief.
