Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The General Election Commission will focus in handling data anomaly ahead of 2024 Regional Head Election voter list (DPT) determination.
Head of Indonesian KPU Mochammad Afifuddin says that the number of data anomaly in Indonesia is around 0.02 percent. With that, Indomesian KPU held a consolidation with Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) as well as services for relocating voters for regional elections, which are expected to produce valid data in the implementation of the 2024 Regional Elections.
He also stressed the importance of duplicate voter data elimination that may still be found in some areas.
Afifuddin says that duplicate data voter will be re-verified to ensure that only one data is valid.
"We are ensuring there will be no duplicate data so DPT that eill be determined in regency/city level and also province can be validated without issues," says Chair of Indonesian KPU on Friday (9/13/2024).
KPU is optimistic that the data will be properly managed and valid in the near future. In addition, he also asked for support from all parties, including political parties and the community, so that the process of determining regional head candidates runs smoothly.
He hopes that the regional elections scheduled for November 27 can be successful, with a high level of participation.
"We expect full support from all parties, so that the 2024 Regional Elections run smoothly and successfully," said the Chairman of the KPU RI.
Previously, the KPU noted that 41 regions in Indonesia will be running by sole candidates. Later, if the sole candidates are declared the winner in the regional elections, his party has prepared a scheme for re-voting the following year.
