All Victims of Gegana Detachment’s Explosion Allowed to Go Home

Inp.polri.go.id – Surabaya. The Commander of Indonesian National Police Gegana reviews the chemical explosion site in Gegana Detachment’s Bomb Disposal Sub-detachment Office in Surabaya, East Java. In addition, the commander also paid a visit to 10 members of Gegana Bomb Disposal Detachment who are the victims of the explosion. The East Java Regional Police Chief, Inspector General Imam Sugianto reveals that the INP Gegan are paying attention to the incident. Moreover, INP Chief, Police General Listyo Sigit Prabowo also gave his attention to the 10 victims who were injured because of the explosion. According to Imam, the medical team of Bhayangkara Hospital have allowed the 10 victims to go home as their condition have gone better. The police chief revealed of the 10 victims suffering from the explosion, five were having difficulty to breath, one who was in the security post was having sprained hand, and others were injured in their heads and hands because of the broken glass. Furthermore, Imam clarify that based on the regulation, explosive materials who have been confiscated will be destroyed usually a month after confiscation. Meanwhile, the explosive materials who were exploded was about to be destroyed by the police, as most of its part has been destroyed initially. “We have regulated that if the explosive material has been stored for a month, there are several of it that we destroy, the numbers are relative, usually we destroy it immediately. Just yesterday, we have destroyed most of explosive materials,” said the police chief. (ad/ay/pr/nm)
