As Election Looms, Central Java Regional Police Reminds the Prohibitions of Loud Exhaust

Inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. Ahead the open campaign on January 21st to February 10th is approaching, Central Java Regional Police reminds the community about the use of loud exhaust. The reminders came as police still found many people use the loud exhaust, both individually and in group. “The prohibitions is clear and there is the regulations, both stated in Law Number 22 of 2009 regarding traffic and transportations or in Minister of Environment regulations number 56 of 2019 regarding motor vehicle noise quality standards,” says the Central Java Regional Police Public Relations Division Chief, Senior Superintendent Stefanus Satake Bayu Setianto on Thursday (1/18/2024). Satake says that his party has prohibit the use of loud exhaust in the release of campaign permission letter. If officials found people still using the loud exhaust, the person responsible for the campaign will be summoned for their accountability. “We urge that this law is complied by all elements of the society considering the loud exhaust not only polute the air but also the sound and could potentially cause commotions. All violators will be enforced by law officials in accordance to the law,” conclude Satake in his closing statement. (ad/bg/pr/nm)
