In a display of utmost seriousness towards safeguarding international events within Bali's territory, the Bali Regional Police has deployed 105 personnel for the 3rd day of ASEAN SOMTC WG on CT (ASEAN Senior Officials Meeting on Transnational Crime Working Group on Counter Terrorism) and ASEAN Australia CT (Counter Terrorism) Dialogue. The security measures encompassed various stages, commencing with a thorough sterilization process carried out by the bomb squad unit, extending to the strict surveillance of entry and exit points, as well as the entire premises of Hotel Bintang Kuta in Bali. This significant security operation commenced on Thursday, May 18, 2023.

Police Senior Superintendent Satake Bayu, the Head of the Public Relations Division of Bali Regional Police, affirmed the significance of this deployment, stating, "Our resolute commitment to safeguarding all international events hosted in Bali stands as a tangible testament to our dedication. By doing so, we strive to cultivate enhanced international trust in the capabilities of Indonesia."

He further emphasized that the sterilization activities executed by the Bomb Squad Unit of the Bali Regional Police Mobile Brigade adhere to the highest security standards upheld by the Indonesian National Police (INP).

"It is crucial to underscore that the sterilization procedures involving the bomb squad constitute standard operating protocols for all events necessitating the INP's security presence," he said.
