The event designed to gather all relevant Kalimantan stakeholders in pushing intra-Kalimantan trade and attract foreign investors directly. During the opening ceremony, he says that the meeting will discuss various topics such as Nusantara Capital City (IKN), the formation of Borneo Economic Community (BEC), and the launching of registration for Digital Borneo Trade Marketplace. “Today we are discussing various important topics which are some information regarding IKN which will be official in 2024. We want this new capital to be a blessing for us all and all of our state neighbors and partners,” said Arsjad. He stated that with the new capital located in Borneo, it will open up various opportunity for countries resided in the island. Borneo Business Roundtable is not only motivated by economic purpose, but also to push the island to be core component for broader community. “As the leader, CEO, and relevant stakeholders, we have the responsibility to create an inclusive environment for all and cooperate beyond state borders,” he adds. Meanwhile, the North Borneo governor Zainal A. Paliwang, representing all governors on the island, says that they appreciate the breakthrough from Kadin Indonesia in forming Borne Business Roundtable.
