No Suspicious Drone Activities During 43rd ASEAN Summit: INP

The Anti-Drone Sub-Task Force of the Indonesian National Police (INP) has reported the absence of any suspicious drone activities during the second day of the 43rd ASEAN Summit in Jakarta. "On the first day, we observed 3-4 drones on our monitoring. However, today, there have been no sightings of suspicious drones," said Police First Inspector Reldo Imanuel, a member of the sub-task force from the Task Force V Tindak Ops Tribrata Jaya, on Wednesday (6/9/23). He said that the primary role of this sub-task force is to monitor and counter any type of drones displaying suspicious behavior. His team employs an operator vehicle to pinpoint the locations of such drones. The security measures for the 43rd ASEAN Summit mobilized over 6,000 personnel, consisting of8 task forces responsible for third-level security. These eight task forces covered a range of duties, including preemptive measures, prevention, public order, convoy escort, law enforcement, public relations, operational support, and anti-terrorism units. The 43rd ASEAN Summit itself took place from September 5 to 7, 2023, in Jakarta and was attended by 22 countries, including 11 ASEAN member states, namely Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, the Philippines, Brunei Darussalam, Vietnam, Laos, Myanmar, Cambodia, and Timor Leste.
