Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta.  Benny Rhamdani, tje Head of the Indonesian Migrant Workers Protection Agency (BP2MI), said that he has provided information about the identity of 'T,' an alleged key figure in an online gambling case, to the Directorate of General Crime Investigation of the Indonesian National Police (INP)'s Criminal Investigation Agency. 

After a police questioning on Monday (29/7/2024), he said that he had answered 22 questions during a five-hour questioning as a witness.

Benny confirmed that details about 'T,' including whether this individual is indeed the mastermind behind the case, were included in the official report he signed. However, he declined to disclose 'T’s' full identity to the media, directing such inquiries to the investigators, according to antaranews.com.

Benny emphasized that BP2MI's focus is on combating human trafficking rather than the online gambling case involving 'T.' He clarified that there has been some confusion, with reports inaccurately suggesting that BP2MI's primary concern is online gambling.

The agency's main concern is with Indonesian workers who are illegally sent abroad for work in online gambling and scamming operations. During a recent meeting at the Presidential Palace, Rhamdani presented information on various suspects involved in human trafficking, including individuals with initials such as S/J, ARO or AIM, RS, S, and MM, who are still at large.
