inp.polri.go.id - Mataram. Feeling called to shape the character of the younger generation to study religion, a member of the Police First Brigadier Pathur Rozi, who served in the West Nusa Tenggara Regional Police, built the Tahfiz Al-Quran House voluntarily. First Brigadier Pathur is a member of the West Nusa Tenggara Regional Police who graduated from Al-Aziziah Kapek, Gunung Sari District, West Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara. Tahfiz's house that he built was called Tahfiz's AT-TAQWA house, located in Penimbung Hamlet, East Twin Bridge Village, Lembar District, West Lombok Regency. Building Tahfiz's house has been the dream of Brigadier Pathur since his stay, "becoming a police officer was not my dream, maybe because of God's destiny, I became a police officer from the blessing of the Koran, I have always wanted to have a Tahfiz house," explained First Brigadier Pathur. The children who recite the Koran at their place are free of charge or free; First Brigadier Pathur and his wife sincerely transmit their religious knowledge to the younger generation in the neighbourhood where they live. This is not the first time that First Brigadier Pathur had built the Tahfiz House; when he was on duty in Sumbawa, First Brigadier Pathur also built the Tahfiz House. Then after moving to Lombok, First Brigadier Pathur rebuilt the Tahfiz House where he lives now. The land purchased from his salary as a police officer, First Brigadier Pathur, gave waqf for constructing a prayer room for residents to worship and used as a place for children to recite the Koran. The establishment of the Tahfiz House was due to his wife's encouragement; seeing the sincerity of the wife, they began to set aside a small amount of their income to build the Tahfiz House. "my wife memorized the Koran more than me; my wife memorized 30 juz while I only memorized eight juz," he added. First Brigadier Pathur and his wife graduated from Islamic boarding schools, staying at the Al-Aziziah Islamic Boarding School, Kapek, Gunungsari, Lobar, West Nusa Tenggara. Since the establishment of Tahfiz House in September 2020, the number of students who come to Tahfiz's house has consistently increased. Currently, the number of students studying is in their fifties and even continues to grow.
