Metro Jaya Police will deploy 8,350 personnel to provide guard and escort for the mass rally. "For today, 8,350 personnel will be deployed, the same as yesterday," explained the Head of Public Relations of Metro Jaya Police, Commissioner Endra Zulpan, Thursday (08/09/22). Other than rally against the increase in fuel prices, there were several demonstrations with different topics in several areas of Jakarta today. One of them was a demonstration in front of the KPK building, HR Rasuna Said street, Kuningan, South Jakarta. Meanwhile in a different place, Central Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Commissioner Komarudin said there are a number of demonstrations that will be held by the masses in the Central Jakarta area today. "Rally against the increase in fuel prices only held at the Horse Statue," said Central Jakarta Metro Police Intermediate Officer. Police Commissioner Komarudin asked the masses to voice their aspirations in an orderly manner. The masses are urged to obey the existing regulations. “Any Indonesians, from any group, the appeal is to comply with the applicable law in coveying their aspiration or opinion in public, starting from notify us first so that we can prepare our security measures so that their demonstration do not collide with other demonstrations from other communities. And lastly is please convey your opinion in public with an orderly manner," said the Central Jakarta Metro Police Chief.
