Inp.polri.go.id - Labuan Bajo. During a press conference in Labuan Bajo on Friday (5/5/23), Commissioner General M. Fadil Imran, the Head of the Security Maintenance Board of the Indonesian National Police (INP), stated the importance of the West Manggarai community's support for the ASEAN Summit.
"This support comes naturally from the community. We recognize that this event is a platform to showcase the world's post-COVID economic situation where growth has declined significantly," he said.
Labuan Bajo, known for its abundant resources and tourism offerings, has become the epicenter of growth, and the ASEAN Summit is expected to boost economic growth significantly.
"We must maintain this momentum together, particularly in the tourism sector, where Labuan Bajo's infrastructure is extraordinary," he said.
He further stated that in the short term, catering and tourism are fully booked and even sold out, making the ASEAN Summit a unique opportunity to showcase the region's treasure to the world.
"The treasure is now showcased, and every corner can be enjoyed, making it a truly extraordinary experience," he concluded.
