inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Home Affairs Minister Tito Karnavian asked the National Border Management Agency (BNPP) to strengthen coordination with related ministries/institutions. The step is crucial to optimize program realization that has been designed.

“BNPP is a coordination agency, not the executor. Its main strength lies in communication and the key of their communication is informal communication. Therefore, it is required for them to maintain communication with other stakeholders, both in central and regional,” says Minister Tito on Wednesday (9/18/2024).

He also explains that the funds for border management have been given to several ministries and institutions, which makes intensive communication to be important between the parties.

If required, BNPP can involve related ministries/institutions to execute the working program in several areas by still prioritizing productive work results. On the other hand, they also need Person in Charge (PIC) in every ministry and institution to ensure that communication is still going.

With that, coordination for the work program can go optimally. “Once we can communicate, then we can work on development in border areas,” says Minister Tito.

Furthermore, Minister Tito also pushed his ranks and employees to see BNPP like an umbrella, where everyone working with BNPP will receive protection.

On the other hand, Minister Tito also appreciates the work and achievement of BNPP. According to him, the hard work is fruitful and asked them to maintain their best performance.
