"We also provide mentoring and collaborate with several institutions to level up our MSMEs. There are also workshop programs and 1on1 business coaching training (business guidance) to strengthen the MSMEs business plans," said Deputy Minister of Communication and Digital, Nezar Patria on Sunday (11/3/2024).
Currently, the government continues to encourage MSMEs to adopt digital technology in order to boost the national economy and compete globally.
According to him, MSMEs can utilize digital technology to increase efficiency and productivity.
"Digitalization is not only about technology, but also about creating an ecosystem that supports the growth of MSMEs. Through these steps, we hope that Indonesian MSMEs can compete globally and contribute more significantly to the national economy," he said.
Currently, there are 67 million MSMEs that absorb 97 percent of jobs and contribute up to 61 percent to Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in Indonesia . He also supports the strategic steps of MSME digitalization through "3 Go", namely Go Modern, Go Digital, and Go Online initiated by Rumah Kreatif BUMN.
Go Modern focuses on modernizing MSME activities, such as imaging and simple business management. Go digital focuses on the use of digital applications and automation of business processes.
While Go online aims to maximize existing digital technology such as social media advertising to the use of marketplaces and websites.
According to him, the adoption of digital technology in MSMEs will be able to increase reach to the global market.
"New strategy of adopting digital technology in MSMEs can be an advantage in increasing reach to the market, even so as to make it borderless," he explained.
