inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Traffic Corps of the Indonesian National Police (INP), anticipates a surge in vehicle volume during the long holiday of Isra Miraj and Chinese New Year at the end of January 2025.

"We, the Traffic Corps and related stakeholders have prepared ourselves for the long holiday," said the Director of Law Enforcement of the INP Traffic Corps, Brigadier General Raden Slamet Santoso on Sunday (1/26/2025).

INP Traffic Corps also deployed their teams, such as the disperse and patrol teams. In addition, the Traffic Corps also prepared traffic contraflow.

"This contraflow is implemented if there is density or an increase in vehicle volume," he said.

Police predicted that the peak of the return flow during the long holiday occurred on January 29th. Meanwhile, the peak of the homecoming flow will be on January 25th

"Yesterday we monitored the situation at the four main toll gates. There, we saw there was indeed a huge spike compared to normal days," he said.

On this occasion, he reminded drivers to maintain their health and obey the rules during the long holiday trip.

He also emphasized the importance of resting at rest areas to prevent fatigue that can endanger themselves and the others.
