East Java Regional Police Sends 50,789 Aids for Flood Victims in Central Java

Inp.polri.go.id – East Java. In helping the flood victims in Central Java, the East Java Regional Police Chief, Inspector General Imam Sugianto and his party sends 50,789 aids. “The East Java Regional Police deploys the humanitarian aid to the flood victims in Central Java, particularly in Demak and Kudus,” says Imam. The total aid of 50,789 includes 724 packs of personal needs, 4,360 blankets, 6,147 diapers, 7,016 sanitary napkins, and 11,842 clothes. There are also food and drinks included in the aids such as 2,408 biscuits, 3,101 boxes of Pop Mie, 1,930 cartons of milk, 2,478 cartons of mineral water, 905 cartons of bread, 725 cartons of fast food and medicines 9,598 cartons. Report states that there are 20,000 people affected by the flood in Demak and Kudus, which have been evacuated to 125 evacuation posts. The aid sent by the East Java Regional Police will be distributed to the hundreds of evacuation posts by coordinating with Central Java Regional Police. Imam says Central Java Regional Police has not requested any back up. However, Imam stressed that his party is ready to lend their hand in dealing with the disaster. (ad/mz/pr/nm)
