inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Transportation Minister Budi Karya Sumadi says that the permit from the International Aviation becomes the requirement that must be met by flying taxi operator to operate in the central point area of Nusantara Capital City (IKN).

"Without saying yes or no, the international aviation becomes our reference on how we should operate the flying taxi in IKN," said Minister Budi on Monday (7/29/2024).

The International Aviation permit was published by International Civil Aviation Organization and International Air Transport Association. He says that the permit is important to guarantee the safety of users.

Minister Budi says taht the South Korean company, Hyundai, is testing their flying taxi globally, one of which were tested in Samarinda, East Kalimantan. The Transportation Minister allowed the test as the flying taxi trials is a process that needs to be studied and developed.

According to him, this is the third phase of the flying taxi trials by Hyundai in Indonesia. If the government allows trials within IKN, Minister of Transportation Budi Karya plans to direct it to another point outside the IKN Central Government Core Area (KIPP).

"But we will reapply again or asked ICAO and IATA what becomes the national standard regulation," conclude Minister Budi
