Inp.polri.go.id - Badung. The Coordinating Ministry for Political, Legal, and Security Affairs has established a coordination desk for the 2024 Regional Elections, comprising 19 ministries and agencies involved in the elections.

Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Hadi Tjahjanto said on Tuesday (30/7/2024 that the government ministries and agencies include his ministry, the Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Law and Human Rights, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Communication and Information, National Development Planning Agency (Bappenas), the Attorney General’s Office, the Indonesian Military (TNI), the Indonesian National Police (IN), and others.

The desk aims to handle preparation, security, and violation management for the simultaneous elections across 514 districts. With ongoing preparations from the 2024 General Election, the desk’s role is crucial in addressing potential issues, including handling disputes at the Constitutional Court (MK), according to antaranews.com.

The desk also plans to map conflict-prone areas and ensure local government facilitation.
