inp.polri.go.id - Sarmi. The PR Chief of Papua Regional Police, Senior Superintendent Ignatius Benny Ady Prabowo stated that high rainfall in Sarmi Regency in the last few days resulted in five districts in the Sarmi Regency to be flooded.

“Of the 10 districts in Sarmi Regency, five districts were flooded due to downpour. The five districts are Sarmi, East SArmi, South Sarmi, West Pantai, and Tor Atas,” says Benny on Thursday (7/25/2024).

On the other hand, Benny assures there are no fatalities due to flooding in the five districts.

“Thankfully there are no fatalities. However, people still suffered major financial loss due to the disaster,” conclude Benny.
