He advised those needing immigration assistance to complete their tasks before Friday (5/4/2024) to avoid the post-Eid rush. "It's crucial to remember that Friday is the last working day before Eid. So, for those with urgent passport or residence permit needs, please attend to them before then," Sandi said Thursday, as reported by antaranews.com. He emphasized the importance of promptly renewing residence permits to prevent overstaying, particularly for foreigners. While visa applications and extensions via evisa.imigrasi.go.id will also pause during the Eid break, departure and arrival inspections at immigration checkpoints nationwide will continue, along with electronic visa services. For urgent matters, Indonesian citizens can use the expedited one-day passport service, available for a fee. Sandi advised passport applicants to collect their documents before Friday as immigration offices will open on 16 April 2024. Those with post-Eid passport appointments, but still in their hometowns, can reschedule using the M-Passport app. For emergency passport needs, individuals can contact the nearest immigration office hotline.
